Although Norton Armouries initially began producing armour and costume pieces, we soon found that our method of using hybrid polyurethane materials was suitable for props and special effects too. As such, we've gone on to create fully mounted knights, medieval saddles, horse armour and shields, not to mention weapons in fashions ranging from pre-Roman to futuristic and fantasy.
The advantage of using hybrid polyurethane is that it permits us to produce large quantities of the finished product both rapidly and in a wide range of finishes. In addition to this, it is superior to traditional materials due to the polyurethane being exceedingly strong and resistant to wear/corrosion, whilst simultaneously being lightweight and semi-flexible.
Based in Herefordshire, we're located only 10 minutes from the M50, granting us quick and easy access to the rest of the UK. Furthermore, we have several workshops on-site, including a modelling and moulding workshop, a modern industrial processing plant (where we produce our polyurethane armour, costume and props) as well as full assembly, painting and finishing facilities - all manned by our team of highly skilled and experienced craftsmen.
This combination of dedicated equipment and staff ensures that we can always produce the best that is required of us, whether it's a one-off piece for a principle character or outfitting an entire army.
